Export & handoff
When a case is ready to leave Parity, export it and move it into your own systems.
Export to PDF or Excel
From the case header, export the case to:
- PDF — one readable document, with each part as a section.
- Excel — one workbook, with each part on its own sheet.
Both formats carry the same content; only the layout differs. Any caseworker with access to a case can export it — this is not limited to administrators.
Parity does not export to Word. Use PDF or Excel.
What's inside an export
An export is the whole case, not just the structured record. Both formats include four parts:
- Case information — case id, client email and name, domain, status, clinic, and the created and updated dates.
- The AI Triage Case Record — the structured six-field record (Factual Record, Parties, Key Dates, Documents / Evidence, Desired Outcome, plus Domain).
- Internal Notes — every staff note on the case, with its date and author.
- Chat Transcript — the full client–assistant conversation, every message with its role and date.
In the PDF these appear as sections in one document; in Excel each part is a separate sheet (Case Info, AI Case Record, Internal Notes, Chat Transcript).
An export contains your internal notes and the entire client conversation, not just the record. Internal notes are normally staff-only and never shown to the client — but once exported, they leave Parity inside that file. Treat exported files accordingly and share them only with the right people. See Data, privacy & safeguarding.
Handoff to ActionStep
For the pilot, moving a case into ActionStep is a manual step — there is no built-in integration. Two ways to do it:
- Export the case (PDF or Excel), email it to your supervisor, and attach it to the matter in ActionStep; or
- Run ActionStep on the interview laptop and upload the exported file directly.
Choose whichever fits your clinic's existing process.
