What is Parity
Parity is an AI intake and triage assistant for law clinics. It turns a client's first conversation into a structured, client-approved Case Record that lands, already triaged, in your clinic's dashboard — before a caseworker ever opens the file.
A client signs in, talks to the assistant, reviews the record it produces, and approves it. The finished record arrives in your dashboard sorted by legal area and ready to work. The goal is simple: spend less time re-interviewing people to learn the basic facts, and more time on the law.
What Parity does
- Structured intake. A guided conversation gathers the facts of a matter — who is involved, what happened, when, and what the client wants.
- Identifies a domain. It proposes the broad legal area the matter falls into (employment, housing, and so on). Staff can correct this at any time.
- Produces a complete factual record. The output is a full, third-person account of the situation, not a one-line summary.
- Triages into your dashboard. Finished records land as cases you can filter, search, work through your status workflow, and export.
What Parity is not
Parity gathers facts; it does not give advice.
- It does not provide legal advice, assess the merits of a case, or recommend a strategy.
- It is not a decision-maker. It names a broad domain only.
- It augments, it does not replace the caseworker's own fact-finding and judgement. The client approves the facts as they described them — not a legal analysis. You remain responsible for verifying the facts and advising.
Scope
Parity handles civil matters in England & Wales only. Anything outside that — or any of the excluded areas such as criminal, family, or immigration — is politely redirected rather than taken on. See What Parity is not for the full list.
